Cycle 4 Heroes

  • June 29, 2019
    9:00 am - 6:00 pm

Organised by our Patron and prolific Help for Heroes fundraiser, Steve Craddock, the Cycle 4 Heroes Sportive is to be held on Saturday 29th June, 2019, starting at Mid Kent College in Gillingham from 9am.  The aim of the ride is to celebrate our Armed Forces past and present and at the same time raise funds for Help for Heroes.

Please show your support for our local armed forces and join them for a 75km ride around Kent on Armed Forces Day. This sportive challenge is being organised in support of Help for Heroes and sets out from Gillingham, the home of the Royal Engineers Regiment. The 75km route is the perfect distance for a Saturday morning ride for serious and recreation cyclists alike.

This is so much more than a bike ride. They will have servicemen and women taking part that have been supported by the work of Help for Heroes and you’ll be able to chat with them during the ride and hear their stories. Some will be taking part in their first ride; come along and support them as they grind out the miles.

Armed Forces Day is celebrated around the UK.  As well as a great cycle ride to take part in, there is the added attraction of the huge Armed Forces Day parade happening just a few pedal strokes away. Bring family and friends and whilst you ride, they can enjoy the spectacle and attractions at the parade.

£20pp + £1 booking fee (£25 on the day)

Fundraising is optional but we do encourage riders to raise £50.00 for Help For Heroes.  Participants will be offered the option to set up an online sponsorship account.

There is free parking available at Brompton Academy, only 5 minutes from the start point at Marlborough road Gillingham. Please only use the top car park.
